WHAT'S HOT? WHAT'S NOT?

I'm a stickler when it comes to keeping and serving food at the correct temperature. Ceviche needs to be COLD, cheese should be served at room temperature and most importantly.....when I have the sniffles I want to eat soup that's HOT not tepid. Pouring hot soup into a cold bowl defeats the purpose of warming up soup. That's just stupid.....so, what can you do? If you have a warming drawer or oven {I'm trying NOT to be jealous here} place your bowl in to heat up and keep it warm for serving. BTW, did you know that a warming drawer or oven is nothing more that your conventional oven turned down to the lowest possible setting? True. My personal choice is to warm my bowl over the pot where I'm heating my soup. Now obviously this in not going to work if you are preparing soup for more people than just yourself, but it's a quick and easy way to assure hot soup for your stuffy nose. Hot steamy soup on a cold Winter's day....it just doesn't get much better!

Even though Mr.P would heartily disagree, it just really does NOT take a lot to make this ole girl happy!

Serve your Winter soup in a hot bowl...
...your nose will be glad ya did!

ENJOY!
