A white picket fence may be what we all dream of, but who says you need the whole thing? I found this darling photo (the first photo below popped up in my Facebook feed from Southern Living) of a crisp white garden gate which provides the same feel. It inspired me to find a few garden gates that 'called my name'. Hopefully it will cause you to look for a gate you love as well. If you do, install it at the head of a path, leading to a garden or your front door, and flank it with sturdy posts and plants. It will create an inviting entrance for your family and friends. For a nice added touch, plant a basket with such colorful flowers as caladiums, angelonias, periwinkles, and million bells. Hang it on your garden gate for a stylish enhancement.
