Kansas Barn Sale in Hesston, Kansas
Next event: October 4, 2015

The Cleveland Flea in Cleveland, Ohio
Next event: April 11, 2015
Not your average flea market, this pop-up event serves as a business incubator for small businesses and has helped spur development in the neighborhoods where its held.

And of course, the biggest and the best is right here in Texas. Canton Trade Days, or better known to the locals as First Monday. Vendors sell everything from vintage stained glass to hip arts and crafts. This is a place where you can slow down, visit and ask questions, talk to collectors and antique dealers and meet the artists and craftsmen who create one-of-a-kind items. First Monday meets Thursday thru Sunday before the first Monday of every month.

And if all else fails, check out the new 'Flea Market Find App". I kid you not, you can now pull up local flea markets as quickly as you can whip out your smartphone! Really pretty cool don't ya think?

  2. I hit estate sales frequently but don't go to flea markets that often. Don't forget the extravaganza which is Round Top twice a year. :)

    1. Julie, I love estate sale shopping. Every time I buy something to bring into our home I know one day when I'm gone my children are just going to stick a sign in the yard and open the doors!

  5. Hi Ronda, we are in Arkansas now doing furlough. Fun to read this and how I would have loved to do this if I didn't have my home overseas. Someday we'll retire and then it will be fun to do my next home in flea market shabby chic. Hope all is well with you.
