Antonio Carluccio is a chef, restaurateur and food expert. He has written 14 best selling books, made numerous television programs, recipient of an honorary OBE and in 1998, Antonio was appointed Commendatore, the equivalent of a British knighthood, for his knowledge, enthusiasm and lifetime's service to the Italian food industry. is one of the world's most respected Italian chefs - widely known for his association with Jamie Oliver, his protégé and business partner, teaching him all he knows about Italian cooking. With a list of published books to his name, Gennaro was awarded the BICB in 2003. His restaurant 'Passione', which he opened in 1999, has been awarded Best Italian restaurant numerous times in the city of London. After many television appearances in the UK and abroad, he is now busy developing recipes and menus with Jamie for their chain of restaurants.
