Fourth of July Patriotic Garland

The 4th of July is only two days away and in the rush of planning a spectacular celebration for your family and friends you may have left out one small detail..... patriotic decor. This fun red, white and blue garland is an easy last minute DIY project that will add a festive look to any Summer party. How easy you ask? So easy your young children can assemble it while you are busy in the kitchen.

Ready to make one? Here's what you need:

MATERIALS

3 - 54x108 inch Plastic Tablecloths in Red, White and Blue

1 string of 100 Lights

Scissors

WHAT TO DO

Cut the tablecloths into 12" x 1 1/2" strips, about the length and width of a ruler.

Tie the strips to your string of lights. This part goes a lot faster if you have someone helping you, more fun too!

Tie the strips on in alternating colors. Keep repeating until your string of lights is covered. BTW don't forget to make sure your lights work! Wouldn't that be a bummer.

That's it!  Wasn't that easy? Now your very patriotic garland is ready to display. It is so durable you can hang it indoors or out. Your friends and family will love the added creative touch to your Fourth of July party.

What a difference a little garland makes. It's cheap, simple and a quick way to turn a hum-drum party into something special. Make them for any occasion....
....you'll be glad ya did!

ENJOY!
HAVE A WONDERFUL AND SAFE FOURTH!
